Melancholy, acid techno. Whilst the mid-tempo track is a little anonymous for its time, it's one of the more impressive and melodic pieces on Accelerator, and also features alongside the (considerably different) Frothin' At The Mouth Mix of Hardhead on Pulse EP, making it one of the first two tracks to bear the FSOL moniker as performer. For the initial Cleopatra US release of Accelerator, the first section of Pulse State was added to the beginning of 1 In 8, inexplicably, leaving the track shorter.
