Based on a piano piece classical musician Max Richter had sent the band, Max is also named after the composer and is the first of many collaborations the duo had with him. A piece of neo-classical orchestration, Max is a lush, uplifting track, based around piano, strings and saxophone, with some quiet female vocals near the end.
