An interesting piece, Hot Knives is the only pre-Isness FSOL track with proper vocals and lyrics. The slightly disco-esque trip-hop track also features a number of samples from the compilation-only Amorphous Androgynous track Subliminal Aura, which is one of the many arguments that Environments became ISDN. Many parts of the track also appear to be slowed down sections from the old Mental Cube track Chile Of The Bass Generation. The vocalist is uncredited, but sounds like Gaz Cobain. Hot Knives is exclusive to the black edition of ISDN.
