Third in the Environments series, Environments 3 was released in
June 2010 through FSOLDigital. Although revealed in 2008
alongside Environments 2, the album contains a considerable amount of
newly recorded material, plus some archived material remixed.
While volume 2 appeared by surprise overnight, volume 3 featured
several teaser tracks via YouTube and MySpace, both suggesting that it should be treated as a
proper new album. Much darker than volume 2, the archived tracks
largely come from the Dead Cities sessions, and the newly
recorded tracks are dark and haunting in vein, giving a feeling
of the album coming from the ruins of the Dead City - replacing
that album's violence with a somber mood.
