The Future
Sound Of London - Dead Cities (06:37)
Available on: Dead Cities
Lyrics:
"I had killed a man... a man who looked like me"
Faces milling round like cars
Look across the tables, they're there in the piss-stained bars
Faces milling round like cars
Look across the tables, they're there in the piss-stained bars
Make me believe I'm not going to die, for that I'd gladly give
you something
Familiar faces milling around like cars on the slimey street
Look across the tables, they're there in the piss-stained bars
Notes:
Opening with a sample of Laurence Fishburne from the film Deep
Cover, the title track to FSOL's fourth album is a dark, brooding
piece of ambient techno, which sums up the album quite well. The
outro poetry is credited as by Dick Verbatim, but this appears to
be another FSOL in-joke, as the words were written by Gaz.
Credits:
Written by Dougans/Cobain. Produced by The Future Sound Of
