The opening track to Lifeforms, Cascade, begins with a number of splashing synths, alongside some samples from Ozric Tentacles (many of which recur throughout both discs of the album). The piece is a light, floating ambient track, with a female vocal sample and a light xylophone loop. It differs greatly from the heavier paced, flute-led single version.
