The Future
Sound Of London - Antique Toy (05:43)
Available on: Dead Cities
Lyrics:
And um, he thinks he's very... funny
And um, he thinks he's very... funny
Notes:
If you listen to FSOL's records in order, this is the group's
first wander into IDM territory. Stuttering electronic bits and
drills, blippy melodies and sinister chords add an air of menace
to a generally chirpy sounding piece. The track ends with a
collection of smashing noises and found sounds, some of which
were used in the track G Eletro, which may have been originally penned to follow
this on the album. The first appearance of these ending sounds
was in the 1995 Peel Session of Quagmire, and they continue on throughout that track as
well.
