Those recent
releases, future Stakker stuff, old soundtrack apperance
31/08/07
Hello. We're still alive. Yes, we're also very lazy.
Some of you may have picked up the Archived CDs - all three released on July 23rd. Some updates for them in the discography with covers and all. We can report that they are, alas, not mixed but simply stop/start. Artwork matches the music in being all over the shop. It's a shame the albums weren't released as "Lifeforms sessions" and "Dead Cities" sessions, but there's still four hours worth of 'new' FSOL material there on CD finally, so not too much to complain about.
Stakker Humanoid has made a return. Again. There's a 12" around on J&P at the mo, combining the best tracks from the '88, '92 and '01 releases. And coming soon (probably on J&P as well) we're to expect a full album of mixes and things, as well as an official release of the 1988 Humanoid Peel Session - thanks to Frode for the news. FSOLDigital expands with information on the release, including mixes by Feadz, Punx Soundcheck, James Talk, Scan X, King Roc, Pirate Robot Midget, Graham Massey, Legiac, Sub OSC, DXU 555 and Cane. A 12" single, CD album, vinyl album and download release will be available. How much more Stakker Humanoid can you take? The lyrics/song info page of this site is beginning to look very daunting...
Anybody know of a film called WSD? Apparently Gaz and Brian recorded the soundtrack for it. We have no idea about it here but are looking into it. Have a look for yourself.
Oh, and the final mix of Environments is nearly complete. Hurrah.
