My name is Ross Baker, I am from the United Kingdom and I spend much of my spare time recording music, and occasionally dabble at writing and taking photos. I have been lucky enough to put music out on labels such as FSOLDigital, Jozik, AmbientLive and Treetrunk.
Between 1999 and 2011, I recorded ambient music under the name Second Thought, releasing a series of albums and EPs soundtracking various places, which were noted for their use of piano and field recordings. I also released synth music as Obliquity and lo-fi songs as The Curse of Kevin Carter.
At the start of 2012, in search of a more personal approach, I discarded these monikers and began working with live instrumentation, vocals and field recordings, with a shift of focus towards a more nostalgic, human feel. I also sing and play guitar in a seemingly permanently unnamed band, and occasionally record with guitarist Gregg Jackson as Captain Busby.
